Whether you're a baller or a skater, you'll recognize this game as one of your favorite face-off competitions. Based on the skate park's classic game of S.K.A.T.E., this is Sierra-at-Tahoe's version on the snow. Get ready for the debut of our totally refurbed and absolutely street inspired stair set. Cash, snowboards, and prizes will be awarded to the teams that claim the Game Title and Plays of the Game. Skiers and snowboarders are invited.

FORMAT:

This new contest will be held in a tournament style with divisions for snowboarders and skiers. Teams of three must be formed with a team name in order to register. Ladies, gather your teams for your own face-off or join a guys team. As the competition gets going and tricks are set, each team will be able to select one of three team riders that's best conditioned to complete the trick. You want to have the most versatile team with strong offense and defense.

OFFICIATING:

-In each division, an offensive team will be chosen at random to set the trick. One member of this team will make their play, i.e. announce a trick and attempt it. If he or she finishes the play completely clean, then this will be the trick for the rest of the round. If the first team does not complete their offensive play, then the next random team can take their shot. Offensive moves are not penalized by the referee.

-Each team, with one chosen defensive player, will attempt the play. The goal is to avoid a letter card from the referee. The trick must be landed fairly clean and without penalties. Penalties include one-footers, hand drags, hand plants, inverts, and manual landings.

-The team to avoid S.H.R.E.D. moves on until a Game Title is earned for the tournament.

REGISTER:

It's free! Be in Sierra's Aspen Cafe from 9-10am. The tournament starts at 11am.
